MY CHILD CARE PHILOSOPHY:

As a child care provider, my goal is to provide a safe and happy place where children can learn and grow physically, emotionally, intellectually and socially at their own pace.

I give the children in my care opportunities to learn in a family-like setting, where they can feel safe and loved, and can begin to build a positive self image. Your child will receive quality personal and individualized care in a warm and loving home. Your child will have the opportunity to gain practice in language, fine motor, large motor and self-help skills, as well as learning toddler and preschool curriculum type activities to prepare them for school.

Part of your weekly fee covers the curriculum your child will do from September through May.  Your child will be making 3-D projects and crafts with play and learning values.  We do theme related songs, fingerplays, games, dramatic exercises, and fun food preparation.  Your child will learn the calendar and learn to use the weather wheel.  Your child will have his/her own Letter, number, shap and color cards each month.  We do science demonstration, safety activities and guessing games.  This curriculum is very detailed and the kids have fun with it every day.  You can learn more about the curriculum at http://www.thelearningboxpreschool.com

We love to play, and play to learn!! I feel your child will benefit greatly from gently structured and non-structured activities. Throughout the day, the children play individually and together. Toys and equipment are plentiful, age-appropriate and all activities are supervised. I provide plenty of attention, appropriate affection, and personal care as necessary. Meals & snacks are healthy, yummy, generously portioned, and served family-style.

Like a butterfly emerges

And unfolds its graceful wings,

A child grows and develops

with what loving them brings...

I'm thankful for the times

You encouraged me to try

For God gave me my wings

And you taught me

How to fly
